Well—almost perfection. It was a beautiful spring afternoon in Dallas, which meant the Arboretum was bustling with visitors soaking up the sunshine and admiring the stunning blooms. But even with the crowds, the moment unfolded exactly as we planned.

The soon-to-be groom had reached out weeks in advance to coordinate the details. He wanted the setting to be romantic, natural, and full of color—so of course, the Dallas Arboretum was the perfect choice. We scouted a more secluded garden nook that still had a gorgeous backdrop of spring flowers. I arrived early, blending in like just another guest with a camera, waiting for the big moment.

When the couple arrived, my heart was racing right along with his. He led her to the spot, dropped to one knee, and asked the big question. And let me tell you—her reaction was everything. Absolutely stunned, overjoyed, and tearfully saying yes—it was one of the most beautiful proposal reactions I’ve ever captured.

After the big moment, we took a few minutes to soak it all in (and let her catch her breath!). Then we strolled through the Arboretum for a few quick engagement photos—nothing too formal, just real joy and love shining through in every frame.
